Preserving Thai Cultural Heritage Through Thoughtful Property Curation
Aurelis was established to address the intersection of cultural preservation and residential living in Bangkok. Our approach focuses on identifying and maintaining properties that represent significant aspects of Thai decorative arts and architectural traditions.

Our Background
Aurelis emerged from observations about how Bangkok's architectural heritage was being preserved and presented. The city contains numerous properties featuring traditional Thai decorative elements, contemporary interpretations of cultural motifs, and significant collections of Thai decorative arts. However, accessing these properties as residential spaces while respecting their cultural significance presented specific challenges.
Our founding team included individuals with backgrounds in Thai art history, property management, and cultural preservation. This combination of expertise allowed us to develop an approach that addresses both the practical requirements of residential property management and the specialized needs of culturally significant spaces.
Since establishing operations in Bangkok's Sukhumvit area in January 2024, we have assembled a portfolio of properties representing three distinct approaches to Thai heritage in residential contexts. Each property undergoes evaluation for cultural significance, structural integrity, and suitability for residential use. Properties are maintained through specialized protocols that preserve decorative elements while ensuring modern living standards.
Our work extends beyond property rental to include documentation of decorative elements, cultural orientation for residents, and ongoing maintenance that respects both the heritage value and practical function of each space. This approach recognizes that cultural preservation requires active engagement rather than static conservation.

Quality Standards and Protocols
Cultural Evaluation
Each property undergoes assessment by qualified art historians and cultural specialists. We document decorative elements, verify authenticity, and establish appropriate preservation protocols based on the specific characteristics of each space.
Specialized Maintenance
Properties receive care from professionals trained in traditional Thai craftsmanship and modern conservation techniques. Maintenance protocols address both structural integrity and preservation of decorative elements through appropriate materials and methods.
Security Protocols
Heritage Art Estates include comprehensive security systems appropriate to the value of collections. All properties feature modern safety systems installed sensitively within heritage contexts, with monitoring tailored to each property's specific requirements.
Documentation Standards
We maintain detailed records of decorative elements, including historical context, cultural significance, and conservation requirements. This documentation supports both preservation efforts and cultural education for residents.
Staff Training
Team members receive ongoing education in Thai cultural traditions, property-specific requirements, and appropriate protocols for heritage spaces. This ensures informed, respectful service across all resident interactions.
Environmental Consideration
Climate control and environmental management protocols protect decorative elements while maintaining resident comfort. Systems are calibrated to preserve materials sensitive to humidity and temperature fluctuations common in Bangkok's climate.
Our Approach to Heritage Properties
Aurelis operates on the principle that cultural heritage gains value through engagement rather than isolation. Thai decorative arts developed within lived environments, and our properties maintain this connection between artistic tradition and daily life. Each residence serves dual purposes: providing comfortable living space while preserving and presenting significant examples of Thai cultural expression.
Property selection considers multiple factors including the quality and authenticity of decorative elements, structural condition, potential for appropriate modern integration, and overall cultural significance. We work with conservation specialists, craftspeople maintaining traditional skills, and modern designers who understand how to dialogue with historical forms. This network ensures that properties receive appropriate care regardless of their specific approach to heritage.
Resident orientation includes comprehensive information about the cultural context of their living environment. For Decorated Traditional Homes, this involves explanation of traditional motifs and craftsmanship techniques. Contemporary Thai Interpretation properties receive context about how designers have engaged with cultural vocabulary. Heritage Art Estates include detailed documentation of collections and artists represented. This educational component recognizes that appreciation depends on understanding.
We maintain relationships with Thai cultural institutions, conservation organizations, and traditional craftspeople. These connections support ongoing learning about preservation techniques, provide access to specialized expertise when needed, and ensure our approach remains informed by current thinking in heritage preservation. Property management extends beyond basic maintenance to include active stewardship of cultural resources.
Our work in Bangkok reflects commitment to demonstrating that cultural preservation and contemporary use can coexist productively. Each property represents a different model for this integration, allowing residents to choose the approach that aligns with their interests in Thai heritage while supporting the ongoing preservation of these significant spaces.
